Years ago, I purchased twelve beautiful hand-painted martini glasses, each finished with a whimsical zipper design. Surrounded by grapefruit trees, our family quickly started a tradition of making fresh grapefruit martinis whenever we gathered. When grapefruit went out of season, we switched to lemon—and The Sally Martini was born.

Over the years, those beloved glasses broke one by one until only three remained. That’s when my daughter, Michele Peschelt, founder of Tailgate Creative, suggested we create our own.

After I retired from banking, the timing felt perfect. What began as a family tradition became a mother-daughter collaboration, and after a year of designing and refining, our first collection came to life. Michele created the signature zipper designs, while I dreamed up the Tuxedo and Lace editions.

Today, we’re sharing these glasses in the hope that they become part of your traditions, too—whether filled with a martini, a mocktail, or simply something worth celebrating.
